Basta pasearse unos segundos por los pasillos del hotel Meli\u00e3 White House, en pleno coraz\u00f3n financiero de Londres, para que el acento y los chilenismos que intercambian sus pasajeros delaten que algo pasa. “Est\u00e1 lleno de chilenos, dicen que van a llegar m\u00e1s de 300”, cuenta una recepcionista, sin ocultar su sorpresa (Emol.cl).<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

El Meli\u00e3 es el centro que re\u00fane a gran parte de los 444 actores del mercado de capitales chileno, brit\u00e1nico y tambi\u00e9n de otros pa\u00edses que se inscribieron en la 13 {+a} edici\u00f3n del Chile Day, el evento m\u00e1s relevante que busca posicionar al pa\u00eds como un centro financiero de relevancia internacional.<\/p>\n

“Es la edici\u00f3n n\u00famero 13 y eso es de buena suerte para nosotros. Hay un esp\u00edritu de querer convertir a Chile en un exportador de servicios financieros”, dice Alfredo Ergas, presidente del directorio de InBest, la corporaci\u00f3n que organiza el evento, junto al Ministerio de Hacienda.<\/p>\n

El Chile Day comenz\u00f3 anoche con un c\u00f3ctel en Guildhall, un edificio hist\u00f3rico que data de 1440, que alberg\u00f3 a la alcald\u00eda londinense y que hoy es la sede de los principales eventos sociales de la City de Londres, el distrito financiero aut\u00f3nomo de la capital brit\u00e1nica.<\/p>\n

“La convocatoria de este a\u00f1o, que incluye muchos brit\u00e1nicos, demuestra que Chile es un pa\u00eds atractivo. En el contexto del Brexit, los empresarios y el gobierno brit\u00e1nico est\u00e1n buscando alternativas y Chile, que ha sido un aliado de Gran Breta\u00f1a por m\u00e1s de dos siglos, es una buena opci\u00f3n”, subray\u00f3 durante el evento el embajador de Chile en el Reino Unido, David Gallagher.<\/p>\n

La principal incertidumbre de esta edici\u00f3n ha sido la llegada de uno de sus protagonistas: el ministro de Hacienda, Felipe Larra\u00edn. Tras destrabar la negociaci\u00f3n por el salario m\u00ednimo, finalmente se embarc\u00f3 ayer rumbo a Londres, por lo que tuvieron que reagendarse las actividades. En el programa original se contemplaba que hoy fuera uno de los primeros oradores de la jornada, pero dado que su arribo se contempla para despu\u00e9s del mediod\u00eda, dicho espacio se reagend\u00f3 para el viernes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
