Con el objetivo de visibilizar las diversas enfermedades de suelo del tomate, profesores e investigadores asociados al\u00a0Instituto de Ciencias Agroalimentarias, Animales y Ambientales<\/a>\u00a0(ICA3) de la\u00a0Universidad de O\u2019Higgins<\/a>\u00a0(UOH) realizaron un seminario abierto a los interesados en conjunto con Coopeumo y Bio Insumos Nativa SPA.<\/p>\n

La instancia, desarrollada en Pichidegua, convoc\u00f3 a diversos interesados y socios de la cooperativa, en el marco del trabajo desarrollado por el Laboratorio de Biolog\u00eda de Sistemas para la Sanidad Vegetal (BioSav) de la UOH.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u201cDesde nuestra primera visita a estos terrenos, hace m\u00e1s de tres a\u00f1os, en compa\u00f1\u00eda del Dr. Mauricio Latorre, del Instituto de Ciencias de la Ingenier\u00eda (ICI) de la UOH, detectamos la necesidad urgente de abordar la problem\u00e1tica del nematodo\u00a0Meloidogyne<\/em>\u00a0en los cultivos de tomate. Nos propusimos buscar una soluci\u00f3n y gracias al financiamiento otorgado por la Universidad de O\u2019Higgins para la creaci\u00f3n del Centro UOH Biolog\u00eda de Sistemas para la Sanidad Vegetal y al Centro Systemix financiado por ANID hoy podemos investigar para comprender los factores que favorecen la aparici\u00f3n de esta enfermedad y, as\u00ed, desarrollar estrategias de control m\u00e1s efectivas\u201d, indic\u00f3 la directora de BioSav, Lorena Pizarro.<\/p>\n

Interdisciplinario<\/h2>\n

La tambi\u00e9n profesora asociada del ICA3, agreg\u00f3 que \u201cen el Centro BioSav formamos un grupo interdisciplinario, que incluye investigadores tanto del ICA3 como del ICI, para abordar esta problem\u00e1tica con una aproximaci\u00f3n sist\u00e9mica. Integrando un punto de vista ecol\u00f3gico, fitopatol\u00f3gico, de la biolog\u00eda vegetal y de la biotecnolog\u00eda. Y a esto sumamos el modelamiento matem\u00e1tico y la biolog\u00eda de sistemas, para comprender un sistema complejo, como es un sistema agr\u00edcola\u201d.<\/p>\n

Respecto al trabajo en conjunto desarrollado por BioSav-UOH y Coopeumo, el encargado t\u00e9cnico de la cooperativa, Sergio Molina, puntualiz\u00f3 que \u201cestos trabajos que hacemos con la UOH han sido bastante relevantes para nosotros como cooperativa. Lo anterior, en distintos temas, como el presente seminario (relacionado a los tomates), adem\u00e1s de otras \u00e1reas relacionadas con el ICA3, como injerto y propagaci\u00f3n de plantines. Entonces, estas colaboraciones nos han ido abriendo puertas para ir mejorando la parte t\u00e9cnica de nuestra cooperativa y tambi\u00e9n generando nuevas posibilidades\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
