{"id":14804,"date":"2019-11-21T10:29:00","date_gmt":"2019-11-21T13:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mundoagropecuario.cl\/new\/?p=14804"},"modified":"2019-11-22T12:05:41","modified_gmt":"2019-11-22T15:05:41","slug":"desarrollan-un-tomate-transgenico-purpura-alto-en-antocianinas-saludables","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mundoagropecuario.cl\/new\/desarrollan-un-tomate-transgenico-purpura-alto-en-antocianinas-saludables\/","title":{"rendered":"Desarrollan un tomate transg\u00e9nico p\u00farpura alto en antocianinas saludables"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-0 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><em>Con ingenier\u00eda gen\u00e9tica se activaron genes de acumulaci\u00f3n de pimentos y antocianinas que se encuentran desactivados en los tomates cultivados (chilebio.cl).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un grupo de investigadores del Instituto de Gen\u00e9tica y Biolog\u00eda del Desarrollo de la Academia de Ciencias de China ha desarrollado un tomate p\u00farpura modificado gen\u00e9ticamente (GM, o transg\u00e9nico) rico en antocianinas, un grupo de pigmentos que aumentan los niveles de antioxidantes y que proporcionan los colores p\u00farpura, rojo o azul de muchas frutas y verduras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Algunos estudios sugieren que el consumo de estos antioxidantes en la dieta puede disminuir el riesgo de enfermedades cardiovasculares y de padecer c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque la mayor\u00eda de las variedades de tomate no producen antocianinas en el fruto, la variedad de tomate p\u00farpura Indigo Rose muestra en su piel una acumulaci\u00f3n del pigmento que es dependiente de la luz. Para lograrlo, los investigadores identificaron los genes relacionados con el proceso de acumulaci\u00f3n de antocianinas tanto en la piel como en la pulpa del tomate, observando, adem\u00e1s, que un gen regulador maestro (SlAN2) responsable de la acumulaci\u00f3n de pigmentos en el fruto estaba desactivado (no funcional) en tomates cultivados modernos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mediante ingenier\u00eda gen\u00e9tica se expres\u00f3 un gen SlAN2 funcional en un cultivo de tomate condujo a la activaci\u00f3n de toda la ruta de bios\u00edntesis de antocianinas y a altos niveles de acumulaci\u00f3n de antocianinas tanto en la piel como en la pulpa del fruto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A trav\u00e9s de la revelaci\u00f3n del mecanismo de s\u00edntesis de la antocianina, tambi\u00e9n se aportaron nuevas ideas y enfoques t\u00e9cnicos para la mejora de los cultivos, seg\u00fan Li Chuanyou, l\u00edder de la investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Con ingenier\u00eda gen\u00e9tica se activaron genes de acumulaci\u00f3n de pimentos y antocianinas que se encuentran desactivados en los tomates cultivados (chilebio.cl).
