En esta ocasi\u00f3n, se trata de una doble sesi\u00f3n en la que los investigadores de la Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico (UNAM), el Dr. Mark Olson y la Dra. Julieta Rosell, expondr\u00e1n sobre algunos de los efectos que el cambio clim\u00e1tico est\u00e1 causando en los bosques a nivel mundial.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Olson, del Instituto de Biolog\u00eda UNAM, expondr\u00e1 el estudio titulado \u201cLa mortalidad de los \u00e1rboles, un fen\u00f3meno mundial en aumento\u201d, investigaci\u00f3n desarrollada en asociaci\u00f3n con el investigador CIEP, Dr. Alex Fajardo que demostr\u00f3 que grandes \u00e1rboles, como por ejemplo el coig\u00fce, son los m\u00e1s propensos a ser afectados por el cambio clim\u00e1tico y a formar embolias o burbujas internas de aire producidas por las sequ\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>Fajardo coment\u00f3 que \u201cse analizaron 25 especies de la Patagonia y las enviamos a M\u00e9xico. All\u00ed se analizaron junto a otras 500 especies de \u00e1rboles y arbustos provenientes de distintas zonas geogr\u00e1ficas. Fue un trabajo de esfuerzo colaborativo, liderado por el investigador Mark Olson, en el que participamos 14 instituciones\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>En el caso de la Dra.
